About the BIOR/FAQs
PIB have recently partnered with The British Institute of Recruiters (BIOR) to promote insurance solutions to recruitment agencies, as well as supporting the BIOR’s Recruitment Certification Scheme for Recruitment Agencies & Individuals. But who are the BIOR, and what does the Recruitment Certification scheme offer?
Why did PIB partner with the BIOR?
As specialists in the recruitment industry with years of experience insuring Recruitment agencies, PIB were looking to partner with a recruitment body that offers their members something different. Here at PIB, we place great emphasis on the advice and guidance we offer our clients, and the BIOR’s approach matches this perfectly. Added to this, their new, Recruitment Certification Scheme really does offer something different. We are excited to work with BIOR to further educate recruitment agencies on their insurance requirements, while the BIOR Certification Scheme delivers the recognition recruiters deserve and credibility they need.
Who are the BIOR?
The British Institute of Recruiters is the Professional Body operating The Recruitment Certification Scheme. The BIOR Recruitment Certification Scheme was created with kind input from all 3 of the UK’s enforcement bodies responsible for state enforcement of employment rights (see ‘What is The Recruitment Certification Scheme?’ below).
What do they offer?
Since 2011, the BIOR have been working closely within the recruitment industry, providing a variety of benefits to its members and industry:
- The Recruitment Certification scheme
- Pro Recruiter - The free recruitment AI solution that identifies the latest vacancies and matches candidates
- Up-skilling of recruiting staff
- Industry insights and thought leadership
- Member discounts through business partners, such as PIB
- Recruitment industry compliance and advice support
What is The Recruitment Certification Scheme?
The BIOR realised that the Recruitment Industry was lacking in an Industry recognised certification so, working with the 3 main UK enforcement bodies responsible for state enforcement of employment rights – The Employment Agency Standards inspectorate (EAS), Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC related to National Minimum and National Living Wages) – the BIOR launched the Recruitment Certification Scheme for recruitment agencies and individuals. This provides:
- Increased earning potential
- Enhanced professional credibility
- Receive industry news & insights
- Access to staff up-skilling and CPD
- Includes full BIOR membership
This demonstrates to clients your recruitment knowledge and compliance with the UK’s employment rights enforcement agencies.
